Cost & uniform

What does is cost?

Subs are £45 per term, per Explorer.

These are to be paid promptly online via our communications system Online Scout Manager.

If cost is a barrier to participation, please let us know and we will be able to help with the costs associated with Explorers.

How is the money spent?

Each term we pass on a proportion of subs to Richmond upon Thames District Scouts and to 3^rd Hampton Hill Scout Group. These fees ensure that we have insurances, use of the Scout hut, access to camping equipment and a minibus.

The remaining subs are spent on activities for the Explorers during each term. Any fundraising undertaken by the Explorers will add to the amount that they can spend on activities each term.

All adults involved with Explorers / scouting are volunteers.

What is the uniform?

We ask every Explorer to attend each week wearing an Explorer Scout shirt. These can be purchased here.

All Explorers will also need to wear a Peake Explorers scarf that we will provide (for free) once they have signed up. We ask that they wear suitable trousers / shorts / footwear for the activities we are undertaking.
